Google is Coming to Town!
We've got Google in the Hub on Tuesday 18th August and they're going to be talking about their Cloud Services Platform.The talk will introduce the Cloud Platform and go into a bit more detail about some of the services that run on it.
With Google making the trip, it would be rude to leave it at that. So, not only are we going to have the Tuesday talk but we're going to be running a Hackathon on Wednesday 19th to see what you can do with Google's Cloud Services. There will be prizes for the winner as chosen by a panel of judges, food throughout the day and Google on hand to give help and tips with your hack.
The plan is as follows:
Google Talks Cloud Services
Tuesday 18th starting at 5:00pm
1700: Google Cloud Platform Introduction
1900: Introduction to the Hackathon.
2000: Food and Beverages.
TechHub will stay open late for any eager beavers who want to get a headstart on the hack!
Google Cloud Platform Hackathon
Wednesday 19th starting from 7:00am
TechHub open from early for teams to get together to work on their hacks.
Food and Drink will be provided all day.
1600: Everyone will present their ideas and the judges will make their decision.
1700: Prizes (TBA) for the winner and lots of applause.
1710: Bask in the glory of the winners with some beers and more food!
