HackECPAT End Trafficking Hackathon...One Click to Prevention
18th Jul 2015, 9 a.m. BST - 19th Jul 2015, 6 p.m. BST, Location: 251 Mercer Street, New York, 10012, United States.

HackECPAT is put on by ECPAT-USA, the leading anti-trafficking policy organization in the United States. This FREE 2-day Hackathon will bring high school students together who want to make a difference. They will do so by combining our prevention & awareness tool (Empowering Youth to Take the Lead toolkit) with technology. The toolkit is used by NYC students to educate themselves and their peers about the sex trafficking of children in the U.S. In its current form, the Youth Toolkit is only accessible as a PDF document and thus is in need of an update. Students are being asked to put a modern spin on the toolkit to fit today’s technological world. We will challenge them to come up with the most creative & interactive way to present our Youth Toolkit (i.e. via an app) and the winning team will have their idea materialized.
