Rapanui API Hack Challenge

Brief & Application examples

We challenge developers to integrate our apparel API to their projects with the possibility to win free customisable t-shirts and to monetise further their works.

Rapanui’s t-shirt API allows applications (mobile, web, software, etc.) to get connected to our print-on-demand factory. It can be implemented in new apps or in existing projects that manipulates images, lets users draw or design, or simply has great visual elements. Using POST method and API keys, the technology returns a clothing product in a customisable cart for any image file sent to it. When users check out, we print-to-order the same day, pack and dispatch (worldwide) to the customers while the profits are split fifty-fifty with the app developers. More info – http://rapanui.io

We’re looking for fresh uses for our IT product and for projects that have potential for increasing the number of t-shirt sales. We wish to build partnerships with developers that want to make use of the API to make money from their apps.

Think up a great use for the t-shirt API and submit your project to us before the 1st of August 2015. The API is developer friendly and can be used for brands, photos, drawings, games, selfies, fundraising or anything you can think of.

We’ve already come out with @tshirtplease, a twitter use of our API + RaspberryPi: https://www.raspberrypi.org/your-photo-t-shirt-from-rapanui

Here’s another example of an app making use of the API: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.enrasoft.keepcalm
