We are working with Jaguar Land Rover to host a weekend-long developer challenge to help them Create the Connected Future at Coventry Transport Museum on 22 to 24 July. More details can be found at the website we have set up for the event and the meetup group:
Cars are now a part of the Internet of Things like any other connected device. Instead of thinking of them as purely mechanical objects that just get us from A to B, we want participants to think about how they can be a part of our connected lives and the wider ecosystem of technology. The developer challenge is focused on how can we use this Connected Future to have a positive impact on people's lives inside and outside the car.
We are looking for a cross functional selection of participants: whether your members are a developer, designer, UX, creative, business person or they just want to get involved in shaping the future of the automotive industry, we would love them to apply.
In addition we are also hosting a warm-up event to be held in London on the 6th of July where there will be the possibility to meet the Jaguar Land Rover team and hear more about the event and the developer resources that will be available on the weekend.
Applications close at 23:59, 8 July, and we will confirm participants by 11 July.
If you could let me know if you are interested, I would really appreciate it.
